When Tom Brady bumped Peyton Manning off star-studded Entourage episode feat Mark WahlbergÂ
Tom Brady shared a legendary rivalry with fellow quarterbacks Eli and Peyton Manning as they competed for glory in the NFL. While Brady continues to play in the league at 45, the Manning brothers have retired.
However, Brady's rivalry with Eli and Peyton appears to extend beyond the football field as well. The former New England Patriots star reportedly bumped the Manning brothers off in an Entourage episode that was released in 2009, titled "Fore!".
For the episode, Eli and Peyton were initially picked to share the screen with Mark Wahlberg, Kevin Dillon (Johnny Drama), and Adrian Grenier (Vince Chase) for a round of golf. However, as Eli and Peyton couldn't make it to the shoot, Brady was the show's backup plan and he was quick to accept the role once it was offered.
Entourage actor Jerry Ferrara, who played the role of 'Turtle' on the hit HBO TV series, spoke to SI Now in 2015. He spilled the beans on how Brady edged the Manning brothers to get some screen time on the show, saying:
"That scene in the show where he (Brady) was in the golf tournament with Johnny Drama and Mark Wahlberg was initially for the Manning brothers. But then something happened where they had to pull out like four days before."
Tom Brady also had a cameo in the Entourage movie that was released later in June 2015.
Tom Brady's stats in the 2022-23 NFL season
Tom Brady has led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the top spot in the NFC North after Week 13 of this campaign. The Buccaneers have six wins and six defeats from their 12 games so far.
Despite his age, Brady is showing no signs of slowing down in the NFL as he has racked up 3,332 passing yards with 16 touchdowns. He has also thrown only three interceptions this season. Although it's been one of his slower seasons, the veteran is certainly getting the job done.
They're up against the San Francisco 49ers next in a favorable matchup that sees the Niners down to their third-string quarterback, Brock Purdy. If the Bucs can apply adequate pressure on the rookie signal-caller, it should be smooth sailing for Brady.
