George Kittle injury update: Latest on 49ers TE for Fantasy Football Week 11
Following the San Francisco 49ers' 23-20 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, tight end George Kittle experienced some hamstring aggravation. To start the week, Kittle didn't practice in the 49ers' team practice on Wednesday.
However, 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan provided a positive update at Wednesday's practice. Shanahan said he expects Kittle to participate in the team's Thursday practice, a positive sign that he will be available for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.
Tracy Sandler, who covers the 49ers, tweeted:
"Kyle Shanahan expects George Kittle (hamstring) to practice tomorrow - "being smart with him today."
Despite appearing on multiple injury reports this season, Kittle has only missed one game this year.
George Kittle is still playing at a high level in year eight. The 49ers' star tight end has 43 receptions, 560 yards, and seven receiving touchdowns on the season. Kittle has scored a touchdown in six of eight games played this season and has been one of quarterback Brock Purdy's favorite targets.
In the 49ers' most recent win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kittle had three receptions for 57 yards and a receiving touchdown. However, after the game, a small injury popped up.
San Francisco 49ers-Seattle Seahawks preview
The NFC West division might not be the best in football this year, but it's certainly one of the most competitive divisions.
This Sunday, the San Francisco 49ers will host the Seattle Seahawks this Sunday at Levi's Stadium. Kickoff is set for 4:05 p.m. ET.
The 49ers are currently 6.5-point home favorites. Seattle enters Sunday's game with a 4-5 record and is on a two-game losing streak. Meanwhile, the 49ers have won two in a row and carry a 5-4 record.
The two teams played each other earlier this season in their first matchup, which resulted in a 36-24 victory for the 49ers. Who do you think will win round two between the 49ers and Seahawks?
