Green Bay Packers injury report: Latest on Jordan Love, Jayden Reed, Tucker Kraft and more for Week 3 game vs Titans
The Green Bay Packers are fighting the AFC South for the second consecutive game. After defeating the visiting Indianapolis Colts last week, they visit the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
There should be some intriguing matchups, like L'Jarius Sneed, Amani Hooker and the rest of the Titans secondary against the receiving quartet of Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave.
However, there are players whose status has been questionable, so let's explore that further.
Green Bay Packers injury report
As of Saturday, there are 12 players in the Packers' injury report, listed by position:
- QB Jordan Love (knee)
- RB Josh Jacobs (back)
- WR Jayden Reed (calf)
- TE Tucker Kraft (shoulder)
- OT Zach Tom (quad)
- OT Rasheed Walker (shoulder)
- OG Elgton Jenkins (illness)
- OG Jordan Morgan (shoulder)
- C Josh Myers (ankle)
- DT Kenny Clark (toe)
- DE Kingsley Enagbare (groin)
- CB Carrington Valentine (ankle)
Also purportedly on the injury list was rookie kicker Brayden Narveson (foot), but he wasn't designated and is expected to play.
Jordan Love
Loe is still struggling with the knee injury that took him out late in the season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles. After being a limited participant throughout the week, he has been officially declared questionable ahead of Sunday's game.
Insiders Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, though, have reported that he won't play, with Malik Willis expected to stand in for him; and that Loe is expected to return for the intradivisional clash with the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4.
Jayden Reed
Reed didn't practice on Wednesday after hurting his calf, but he recovered enough to be a limited participant the next two days. At the moment, he's a game-time decision.
Nevertheless, he should be expected to come off the bench if he gets cleared, with Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson manning the corners.
Tucker Kraft
Like Love, Kraft was a limited participant throughout this week's practice with a shoulder injury, but he also has no designation, meaning the team will decide his final status come gametime. However, he plans to suit up beside Luke Musgrave in the Packers' in-line/slot, saying:
"Every morning I wake up feeling even better, and come Sunday I’ll be ready to try to tear somebody’s face off again. It’ll be good."
Jordan Morgan
At least one player has been confirmed to be ruled out of the game, as rookie guard Jordan Morgan reaggravated his shoulder injury from way in the offseason/preseason and was a non-attendant in all three practice sessons.
Coach Matt LaFleur confirmed as much on Friday, also declining to give a concrete update on his return.
Carrington Valentine
Valentine had been competing with Eric Stokes for the Packers' starting job beside Jaire Alexander, but a hamstring injury scuppered the competition and limited him to one snap against the Eagles.
He recovered enough to play 32 snaps against Stokes' 24 in Week 2 but was completely absent from this week's camp as an ankle injury (its relation to the hamstring issue is unknown) greatly bothered him. Thus, he has listed as doubtful, with a strong chance of being downgraded to out come gametime.
