Has Tom Brady ever had a losing season?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers superstar Tom Brady's longevity and success are incomparable to any player who has ever played in the NFL. The quarterback has achieved so many feats in his 23 seasons in the league that his career could be split into two first-ballot Hall of Fame careers.

This is one of my favorite diagrams about Tom Brady. Brady has had two separate Hall of Fame caliber careers if you split is 22 seasons in half. Below:

Brady has made it to 10 Super Bowls in his career and won seven, which is more than any team in the history of the league (the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers hold the record for a team with six Super Bowl wins).

Barring the 2008 season, where he missed 15 games after suffering a torn ACL and MCL in the season-opener while playing for the Patriots, Brady has missed the playoffs only once in his career. The Patriots finished with a 9-7 record in Brady's first season as the team's full-time starting quarterback and failed to make it to the postseason.

But has Brady ever finished a season with a losing record?

Tom Brady losing season: Has QB ever finished a campaign with more losses than wins?

Tom Brady has not finished an NFL season with a losing record in his career since becoming a starting quarterback in 2001. As a rookie during the 2000 season, he featured in only one game for the New England Patriots. Brady was the backup to Drew Bledsoe as the Patriots finished the season with a 5-11 record. The 2001 season remains the only campaign that Brady has spent on a team with a losing record.

What followed was the greatest career the sport has ever seen. https://t.co/6bmQoe9USf

As mentioned above, Brady played only one game in the 2008 season after suffering a torn ACL and MCL in the first quarter of the Patriots' season-opener against the Chiefs. Despite their starting quarterback missing 15 games, New England finished the campaign with an 11-5 record. However, the Miami Dolphins won the AFC East, and the Patriots missed the playoffs. That was the last time a team with Brady did not make it to the postseason.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are currently 6-6. Given how the offense has looked all season long, the team's injury woes, and the demanding schedule, Tom Brady's 22-season streak without being on a team with a losing record is under serious threat.
