Willis slipped into the draft as many had him potentially sneaking in the first round. Nevertheless, the Titans traded up with the Raiders in the third round to select him as Ryan Tannehill's backup.

Prior to being drafted, Willis went viral for a selfless act he was seen on camera making to a homeless lady. Outside of the Indianapolis Convention Center, Willis saw a homeless woman and gifted her with some of his combine gear.

Willis went viral for all the right reasons after the video, showing how great of a person he is off the field. Willis spoke with NFL Network about. the encounter and said he felt bad for her and gave her some clothes.

"I walked past her on the way to the Nike suite and I chopped it up with them and I walked out with a suitcase and whatnot. And I felt bad because I saw her son. It was a pregnant lady and she was homeless. And I was just like, 'Shoot, I don't have no money, but I can give you a couple of shirts.'"

Willis added that he felt like he had to do that and was willing to help out in any way that he could.

"I just felt like I had to do that. I mean, I'm at a position right now where I'm not worried about much of anything except getting better. So, if I can help her out any way, I felt like I had to."

While Malik Willis had a heartwarming story leading up to the NFL draft, it unfortunately did nothing for his stock.

Many thought that Willis would be the first QB taken in last year's draft, but it was a surprise fall as he was taken in the third round.

Some thought Malik Willis had a chance to enter the season as Tennessee's starter, but he was Ryan Tannehill's backup for much of the season.

He appeared in eight total games, while starting in three and going 1-2 as the starter. He recorded 276 passing yards, zero touchdowns and three interceptions while rushing for 123 yards and a touchdown.
