"I’m married to a fashion guy": Tom Brady's supermodel ex-wife Gisele Bündchen once hailed 7x Super Bowl winner's style

While Tom Brady is famous for his incredible NFL career with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the man behind the icon can sometimes be missed. One such area that often flies under the radar is his fashion sense. Brady has a keen interest in fashion and the seven-time Super Bowl winner has modeled for luxury brands and launched his own clothing line.

Tom Brady had such a keen eye for fashion that his ex-wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, once described him as the more fashionable of the two. In an interview with 'Access Hollywood' in April 2016, Bündchen said:

“I have to tell you I’m supposed to be the fashion person here but I’m married to a fashion guy. I don’t understand what’s happening. It’s easier him dressing me than me dressing him. I mean, really, he has a great sense of style.”

In an interview with WSJ magazine in September 2021, Bündchen revealed that her then-husband was more into clothes than her.

“He loves clothes way more than I do," she said. "He has great taste and understands and really cares about what people want, what can help them feel good. That's what fashion is about.”

This is in furtherance of what Tom Brady said in 2009 when he told GQ magazine:

“I think any man who lets a woman pick what he should wear ... I mean, you gotta draw the line somewhere as a man.”

He noted Tiger Woods as an example:

“I see so many guys, really athletic guys, wearing pleated pants. I just shake my head. Like, Tiger Woods used to wear pleated pants! I'm like, 'C'mon, Tiger!'”

When Tom Brady launched his BRADY clothing line

In early 2022, Tom Brady launched his eponymous clothing line, BRADY. This came just before Brady's Buccaneers downed the Philadelphia Eagles 31-15 in the wild-card round. While Tampa Bay didn't make the Super Bowl that year, which was won by the LA Rams, the BRADY line was a hit with fans.

Brady spoke to Forbes at the release:

“I have always been interested in fashion and apparel lines, ever since I was in college," Brady said. He added that he, "wanted to take in the different parts of life and express it” in a clothing line."

Not all of Brady's business ventures have been a complete success (such as his 'Bored Ape' NFT), but his clothing line is still going. It has since merged with his TB12 wellness company under the NOBULL label, something Brady told "Front Office Sports Today" was a "no brainer":

"It was kind of a no-brainer for me. When I retired from playing, I had much more intention to focus on the business things I had going on, and this (merger) was step number one.”

With Tom Brady now in the booth and owning a stake in multiple sports teams (including Birmingham FC, the Las Vegas Raiders and Las Vegas Aces), it will be interesting to see if he adds more to his investment portfolio in 2025.
