[ICYMI] NFL 100 Commercial: How NFL stars converged for an epic centennial season promo
The 2019 season of the NFL will be its 100th one, and by now, we all know that the league has huge plans for its centennial season. We all were given a taste of what's awaiting us come 5 September 2019 when more than 40 NFL stars, both of the past and present came together to promote the same in an epic Super Bowl commercial which many believe is the greatest commercial ever made.
It all began with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell inviting everyone to the 100th season of the NFL at a gala. Seated at one of the tables was Marshawn Lynch, who couldn't resist himself from reaching out for a gigantic cake. Beast Mode lost his balance and dislodged a golden football that was placed on top of the cake and that was it.
A skirmish was ignited as football players both retired and present toiled hard to keep hold of possession. From Joe Montana, a former 49er refusing to pass to Michael Irwin, a former Cowboy, to Tom Brady showing off his then 5 NFL rings and to finally the Odell Beckham Jr. one-handed catch throwback, the commercial highlighted some great rivalries and best moments of the league so far.
It all ended up with Saquon Barkley running away with the ball with a chasing pack behind him, highlighting the impressive rookie season the New York Giants' running back had while also pointing towards a bright future for the NFL. You can catch the commercial here:
