Indianapolis Colts vs Detroit Lions: Box score, players stats, and summary feat. Anthony Richardson, Jared Goff

The Indianapolis Colts played against the Detroit Lions in Week 2. The Colts came into this game after a big win against the New York Jets last week. Anthony Richardson played exceptionally well and will hope to build on that performance against the Lions.

Detroit is arguably the best team in the NFL and has won their last eight games. Jared Goff is an MVP candidate and could further improve his stock with a win in Indianapolis.

The Lions led by 14-6 at halftime with the help of a touchdown each from the running back duo of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery. Detroit went on to win the game 24-6.

Colts vs Lions summary

With the win over the Colts, the Detroit Lions extended their winning streak to nine games. They shut down the Colts' offense in the second half, and although it wasn't a blowout, Jared Goff led his team to another convincing win.

The Lions are now 10-1 on the season and have taken another step toward sealing the first seed in the NFC. Their next game is a divisional matchup against the Chicago Bears, which could prove to be much more challenging for Detroit.

It was a disappointing game for the Colts' offense, as Richardson completed just 39.2% of his throws while Jonathan Taylor was also limited to 35 rushing yards on 11 carries.

Indianapolis has now dropped to 5-7 on the season, and the team will need to pull off a miracle to make the postseason. Their next game is against the New England Patriots, which is an ideal game for the Colts to regain their confidence.
