Is Brian Robinson Jr. playing today vs Cowboys? Commanders RB's status explored for Week 12

At one point, it appeared the Washington Commanders would take full control of the NFC East but consecutive defeats to the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Philadelphia Eagles means they find themselves behind Philly in the NFC East standings. The Commanders will look to arrest that two-game slide when they take on the bruised and battered Dallas Cowboys on Sunday afternoon.

The Commanders have a long list of injury concerns for Week 12 but lead running back Brian Robinson Jr. does not feature on that list.

Brian Robinson Jr. has missed a few games this year with a hamstring issue but has since fully healed up. He missed the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers where the Commanders kept it close but ultimately ended up losing 28-27.

In any case, Robinson Jr. has no injury concerns for Week 12. He did suit up in the Week 11 defeat to the Eagles where he registered 16 carries for 63 yards and a touchdown.

Dallas Cowboys vs Washington Commanders injury report

Both the Commanders and the Cowboys have a laundry list of injury concerns for this Week 12 kickoff. Trade deadline addition Marshon Lattimore has been ruled out of this game with a hamstring injury after he registered DNPs in practice all week. However, apart from Lattimore, the Commanders haven't ruled out any of the other 10 names on the injury report.

Over on the Cowboys' side of things, tight end Jake Ferguson will not suit up against Washington owing to a concussion.

There was initial optimism that Brandin Cooks would make his return from injured reserve after being a limited participant in practice all week. However, the Cowboys have not activated Cooks yet so he will take no part in the proceedings.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that CB Trevon Diggs and G Zack Martin didn't travel with the team to the capital so they have also been ruled out against the Commanders.

However, the Cowboys will have DaRon Bland back. Dallas' star cornerback will make his season debut when they take on the Commanders at 1 pm this afternoon.
