Is CeeDee Lamb injured? Cowboys WR gets bad news ahead of Week 3 Fantasy Football

Dallas Cowboys fans can't catch a break this week, as CeeDee Lamb is dealing with an ankle injury ahead of Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens. The talented wide receiver didn't practice today due to this injury, being one of three Cowboys players listed as DNP on Wednesday's injury report alongside Trevon Diggs and Mazi Smith.

Following a humbling 44-19 loss to the New Orleans Saints, Dallas is keen to bounce back, but their problems appear to keep mounting ahead of Week 3.

CeeDee Lamb Fantasy outlook for Week 3

Despite having a very talented secondary with players like Kyle Hamilton or Marlon Humphrey, the Baltimore Ravens have struggled to stop the aerial game of the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders. On Sunday, they let Davante Adams go for 110 yards and a touchdown reception, while Brock Bowers collected 98 passing yards on nine receptions.

If healthy, Lamb could feast against Baltimore, as he remains the WR1 on ESPN Fantasy over Ja'Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson. Lamb is projected to get 11 targets, eight receptions for 103 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown. In total, his fantasy production should be 21.57 points.

After a rather discreet presentation against the Cleveland Browns (five receptions for 61 yards), he showed a better level of performance against the Saints, catching seven passes for 90 yards and a score.

The Ravens and Cowboys are urged to show something different after surprising Week 2 losses. Lamb is the most dangerous weapon Dak Prescott has, and they could start causing serious damage to opposing defenses this weekend.

Should I start CeeDee Lamb in Week 3 Fantasy Football?

CeeDee Lamb remains a premier wide receiver in the NFL and a player who can change the course of games with one big play. If they want to bounce back from that Saints loss, then Dak Prescott needs to find Lamb more consistently, and the wideout needs to find the best spots to be the explosive player he was last season.

His status is questionable now, but if this ends up being nothing, he should be good to go. Then again, Brandin Cooks was listed as limited on the injury report, which could leave fantasy managers with the option of Jalen Tolbert to be Prescott's No. 1 option right after a six-reception, 82-yard outing against the Saints.
