Is Jordan Love playing today? Latest on Packers QB's status for Week 12

Jordan Love will lead the Green Bay Packers against the San Francisco 49ers today at Lambeau Field. The 4:25 p.m. ET clash carries extra weight for the quarterback, who seeks redemption after last season's playoff heartbreak.

Love enters the matchup in prime physical condition. His Packers (7-3) are 5.5-point favorites against the struggling 49ers (5-5).

The third-year QB has found his rhythm, averaging 260.1 passing yards per game — 19.6 yards above his projected total for Sunday. He's exceeded his passing yards prop in four of eight games this season.

"I think just ending the season, getting into the playoffs and then being knocked out by the 49ers, that game is definitely going to sit with you," Love said after Wednesday's practice.

His motivation runs deep after January's crushing 24-21 playoff loss. The game ended when Jordan Love's pass intended for Christian Watson landed in 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw's hands.

Jordan Love's offseason featured multiple film sessions of that playoff defeat.

"Getting knocked out of the playoffs, there's going to be things that we see, plays they'll see, plays they did on defense that gave us fits," Love said.

His 2024 campaign is a story of growing confidence. Love has thrown multiple touchdown passes in five of six games where he's found the end zone. The only concern is his interceptions, as he's had at least one in all eight appearances

The Packers' offense has soared with Love at the helm. They rank fourth in yards per play (6.4) and leverage a potent ground game, averaging 149.9 rushing yards.

Today's matchup pits Love against the NFL's eighth-best pass defense. The 49ers allow just 197.2 passing yards per game, setting up an intriguing battle.

Green Bay's defensive struggles add pressure on Love to deliver. Jaire Alexander's absence leaves its secondary vulnerable, potentially forcing Love into a shootout scenario.

Josh Jacobs' strong rushing presence gives Love a reliable offensive partner. This balance could prove crucial against San Francisco's weakened defense, now playing without Nick Bosa.

"At the end of the day, [they're] an NFC opponent and since I've been here, we've had a lot of games against the Niners," Love said.

FOX will broadcast the game live from Lambeau Field. It is projected to be a high-scoring affair.
