Is Ryan Jensen playing tonight vs Cowboys? Buccaneers star's status for Wild Card game revealed

Ryan Jensen has been one of the more consistent players since joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers back in March 2018. The Buccaneers will face the Dallas Cowboys for the second time this season in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. The Pro Bowl center hasn't played at all this season for the Buccaneers due to a knee injury suffered in the preseason.

However, it looks as though quarterback Tom Brady is getting his center back. The team activated Ryan Jensen from injured reserve, meaning he could start against the Cowboys.

Last March, Jensen signed a three-year, $39 million extension with Tampa Bay. The Super Bowl-winning center has started 65 games in his time with the franchise.

After a Wild Card weekend full of surprises and scares, perhaps the hardest matchup to call is tonight.

The Buffalo Bills suffered a hell of a fright against the Miami Dolphins before emerging triumphant. The New York Giants won away against the Minnesota Vikings in stunning style. The Los Angeles Chargers dropped a 27-point lead to fall to the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Cincinnati Bengals escaped with a win over the gutsy Baltimore Ravens.

The Cowboys travel to face the unpredictable Buccaneers with the eyes of the world upon them and this is a matchup where anything can happen. Dak Prescott's side suffered a shock loss to the Washington Commanders last week and there are several storylines at play in tonight's matchup.

Tom Brady is 7-0 against Dallas in his career and the Cowboys have a history of slipping up in the postseason. Interestingly, Brady is yet to play Dallas in the playoffs. This could potentially be his last game for Tampa Bay and possibly in the NFL. Add center Ryan Jensen to the mix and the game is already full of surprises and possibilities.

With the NFL's most valuable franchise facing the most successful quarterback in history, no one knows quite what to expect. The matchup will be a must-watch on TV as the Super Wild Card weekend draws to a close.
