Is Tee Higgins playing today? Everything we know about Bengals WR's injury status for Week 8 vs Eagles
The 3-4 Cincinnati Bengals are clearly not where they want to be, sitting third in the AFC North despite considerably optimism around the franchise in the offseason. In a division where the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens appear to be going from strength to strength, the Bengals need to get better and fast if they are to salvage this season.
Their hopes of going head-to-head with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon were handed a late blow when star wide receiver Tee Higgins was added to the injury report on Saturday. Higgins received a not-so-positive injury designation with the franchise officially listing him as questionable for the evening kickoff.
ESPN insider Dan Graziano also noted that there's "pessimism" around Higgins' chances of playing against the Eagles after he injury his quad in Friday's practice.
Bengals beat writer Kelsey Conway also reported that it doesn't look good for Higgins' chances to play Sunday.
Philadelphia Eagles vs Cincinnati Bengals injury report for Week 8
The Bengals don't exactly have a lengthy list of concerns for Week 8 against Philly. Higgins' addition was a major turning point but he is the only one with a questionable designation this week.
Joe Burrow popped up on the injury report with a right wrist issue but he is expected to take the field. OT Orlando Brown (knee), DT Kris Jenkins (thumb) and safety Geno Stone also featured on the injury report but are also expected to face the Eagles.
Over on Philly's side of things, OT Mekhi Becton (concussion) and TE Dallas Goedert (hamstring) have been ruled out. DT Byron Young (hamstring) is also out of the Week 8 showdown against the Bengals.
Running back Saquon Barkley and defensive end Brandon Graham were given a rest during the week so they are expected to be fresh to face Cincinnati. CB Darius Slay and LB Josh Sweat were also on the injury report but are not expected to have any problems suiting up as the Eagles chase their fifth win of the season.
