Ja'Marr Chase or Zay Flowers: Week 10 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Fantasy football projections for WRs
Ja'Marr Chase and Zay Flowers - they may be from different Draft batches, but one thing defines them. They are dominators who can go deep into the backfield and catch long balls. When their respective teams clash on Thursday, one of the wide receivers will be more dominant than the other.
So, which is which? In this clash of potential franchise leaders, who is the more viable option for a fantasy manager?
Is Ja'Marr Chase a good fantasy pick in Week 10?
Ja'Marr Chase has been consistently dominant this season - the only time he didn't score at least 10 fantasy points was in Week 2 at the Kansas City Chiefs, when he had just 7.5 points. Even in his last game, where he had only 43 yards from 11 catches, he managed 11.3 points.
That has put him at a monstrous 169.8 total points and the WR2 spot in Sportskeeda's fantasy football rankings. Even better, the Baltimore Ravens are one fo the worst defensive performers against wide receivers, allowing 43.45 points against them. So, even with Tee Higgins out again, Chase should dominate.
Is Zay Flowers a good fantasy pick in Week 10?
Week 9 was easily Zay Flowers' best fantasy performance of 2024 so far: 29.7 points after covering 127 yards and scoring two touchdowns from just five passes. However, he's clearly capable of doing better than that.
The Bengals' defense ranks 13th when covering wide receivers, at 30.93 points allowed. As stated before, they are also one of the worst units when it comes to covering tight ends; and that's what offensive coordinator Todd Monken will look to emphasize.
However, it can also open up opportunities for the sophomore to catch defenders completely off-guard with deep balls.
Whom should I start between Ja'Marr Chase and Zay Flowers?
As the popular saying goes, "There's levels to this." And unfortunately for Flowers, Sportskeeda's Start/Sit optimizer proves it.
Even on a struggling team, Chase is simply too dominant. There's a reason why he's a fantasy manager's dream. He has been mostrously prolific and productive throughout his career and will continue to do so tomorrow against a defense that showed that it cannot consisently defeat the so-called "long-ball".
