Jerry Jones accused of 'sticking tongue' in woman's mouth, grabbing and groping her forcibly in new lawsuit
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is facing a new lawsuit. Jones is accused of sticking his tongue in a woman's mouth, grabbing her forcibly and groping her, all against her consent. The lawsuit doesn't stop there, though.
Jane Doe, as she prefers to remain unnamed, is also suing the NFL and the Cowboys team. She believes they did not do a good enough job supervising the owner or preventing the incident.
This came to light after Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder claimed he had information about other owners. That includes his longtime friend and colleague Jones.
What does the Jerry Jones lawsuit entail?
Here is the official language of the suit:
"In the lawsuit, Jane Doe accused Jones of forcibly kissing her on the mouth without her consent on or about September 16, 2018 in the Tom Landry Room at AT&T Stadium. She also accused Jones of sticking his tongue in her mouth, and forcibly grabbing and groping her."
It then alleges that former Cowboys players and personnel were in the room:
"In court papers, Doe says the room was full of witnesses when the alleged assault happened, and that she believes the people in the room allegedly included former Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett, running back Ezekiel Elliott, Tyrone Crawford, Tyron Smith and other prominent Cowboys players."
She also named other witnesses:
"In an alleged list of “witnesses,”Doe also named Cowboys’ defensive end Demarcus Lawrence, and Eugenia Jones, Jerry Jones’ wife. Doe claims the alleged incident caused her 'severe injuries,' 'emotional distress,' 'psychological pain and suffering.' and 'medical expenses,' among other allegations of damages."
The lawsuit ends with a harrowing account of what the unnamed woman has endured as a result of the alleged attack:
“Plaintiff has nightmares about what Jerry Jones did to her. She has trouble focusing and completing day to day tasks at work and at home. Plaintiff gets nervous around men and has trouble being alone with men. Plaintiff cries often because of what Defendant Jerry Jones did to her and does not want any other woman to experience such assaults.”
She also mentioned that she is still seeing a doctor for treatment as a result of symptoms brought on by the alleged assault.
