Jordan Love injury update: Latest on Packers QB ahead of playoff game vs Eagles

Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers will start their playoff run against the same opponent they started the 2024 NFL season: the Philadelphia Eagles. The star quarterback had a terrific performance against the NFC East squad in Sao Paulo, but he's now hoping to take his team to a different outcome against one of the best squads in the conference.

Love (right elbow) was one of 12 players included on the Packers' injury report ahead of the Eagles game, but he has no designation for this matchup. The week started with the playmaker being a limited participant in Wednesday's practice session.

The next two days were much better for Love, as he was a full participant on Thursday and Friday.

Jordan Love injury update: What happened to Packers star QB?

Jordan Love left last week's regular-season finale against the Chicago Bears after landing on his right elbow. He started the week with elbow soreness after experiencing numbness in his throwing hand, which set the alarms for a lot of people within the organization.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur offered an update on Love's situation after Friday practice, giving an optimistic message about yesterday's practice session.

"He did well," LaFleur said. "Today was a good day."

Besides Jordan Love, his backup quarterback Malik Willis (right thumb) had a similar week. He was a limited participant on Wednesday before taking the field on Thursday and Friday. He has no designation for this game, either, joining Love, safety Javon Bullard, linebacker Edgerrin Cooper and wide receiver Romeo Doubs.

DL Brenton Cox Jr., T Andre Dillard, DL Tedarrell Slaton, LB Quay Walker and S Evan Williams are listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup while S Zayne Anderson and WR Christian Watson were ruled out for this matchup.

Jordan Love has unfinished business with Philadelphia Eagles

Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers couldn't contain the Philadelphia Eagles in the season opener. The quarterback completed 17 of 34 pass attempts for 260 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. In the final seconds of that 34-29 loss, Love was injured and missed several weeks.

He's ready to take revenge and lead his team to the divisional round. The Packers will visit the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. ET.
