Tom Brady ‘bromance’ had Justin Timberlake on his toes
Tom Brady and Justin Timberlake have dominated their respective fields over the last two decades. Given their dominance, it seems natural that they developed a bromance. During a press conference for Super Bowl LII, Timberlake spoke about their bromance.
The Grammy award-winning singer was asked if he was hanging out with Brady's wife at the time, supermodel Gisele Bundchen. In response, Timberlake discussed how they hung out together and their similarities.
He said:
"Why you trying to break up a bromance? We just got this locked up. We play some golf together. That's one thing I enjoy doing a lot. Anytime you get to share time like that away from everything with somebody that I think you have a lot of true respect and admiration for, how seriously he takes his craft and how great he is at it. "
Timberlake added:
"We are probably, well, I know, we are very like-minded people. So it's nice to be around somebody like that not just hang with them but also pick their brain on what makes them so great as well. You take a little bit of the Brady sauce."
In Super Bowl LII, Tom Brady and the Patriots faced the Philadelphia Eagles in one of the most standout performances in Super Bowl history.
Tom Brady and his TKO performance in Super Bowl LII
The former Michigan Wolverines star kept the Patriots in the game, throwing for 505 yards and three touchdowns with a quarterback rating of 115.4. His 505 yards are the most thrown in a Super Bowl, breaking his own record of 466 in the previous Super Bowl versus the Atlanta Falcons.
He and the Patriots came up short against the Eagles, losing by a 41 - 33 score.
Super Bowl LII would be Tom Brady's next-to-last Super Bowl start as a Patriots quarterback. The following season, the Patriots made it to their third-consecutive Super Bowl, facing the Los Angeles Rams. It was also his final Super Bowl win as a Patriots quarterback.
As for the bromance with Timberlake, it seemed to be much more than just a summer love.
