Justin Herbert will be listed on LA's injury report for Wednesday's practice with an ankle injury, as per Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh. However, it appears that the quarterback's injury isn't too serious and he is feeling better as we draw closer to Week 3.

Harbaugh said Easton Stick would start in Week 3 if Herbert was unavailable, but the coach also pointed out that it was too early to rule out the latter.

"Crystal ball?" Harbaugh said. "[I] expect him [Herbert] to get better every day. I was just in a meeting with him. Said he was feeling much better and good today.”

Since there is still no confirmation that Herbert will be available for Week 3 against Pittsburgh, fantasy football managers should wait until the Chargers' final injury report on the signal-caller drops before deciding to pick him.

Earlier on Wednesday, The Athletic's Daniel Popper reported that Herbert was absent for the start of the Chargers' practice.

Herbert briefly visited the medical tent after rolling his ankle against Carolina. The quarterback was pulled from behind by Panthers linebacker DJ Johnson and hit in the face by defensive end Jayden Peevy simultaneously, which got his lower body trapped under Johnson.

Nonetheless, Herbert returned and did not miss a snap for the Chargers in Week 2. The quarterback eventually went for X-rays after LA's win and the result was negative, which was a relief for the player and the team.

In two games this season, Herbert has completed 31 of 46 passes for 274 yards and three touchdowns. He has also thrown one interception and been sacked twice.

From a fantasy football point of view, Herbert has tallied 21.4 fantasy points, averaging 10.7 FPPG. It will be interesting to see whether he can improve those numbers against the Steelers on Sunday.
