Kendre Miller waiver wire fantasy outlook Week 16: Should you add Saints RB?
New Orleans Saints RB Kendre Miller might be in line to see additional work in Week 16, which could lead to an uptick in his fantasy football production.
Miller has sat behind Alvin Kamara throughout his entire NFL career, but with Kamara's status up in the air for Week 16, Miller will be looking to fill the void left by the veteran.
Kendre Miller waiver wire fantasy outlook for Week 16
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has been one of the most productive backs in fantasy football this year, ranking as RB2 in PPR, scoring behind only Saquon Barkley.
However, in the Saints' Week 15 loss to the Washington Commanders, Kamara left the game early with a groin injury. After initial tests, which didn't reveal much, it's worth keeping an eye on his fitness ahead of Week 16.
Should Kamara be ruled out, or at least limited in snaps, his backup Kendre Miller becomes an intriguing fantasy football asset in Week 16. Despite Miller only being ranked as RB89 in PPR scoring, this is mostly due to Kamara playing in every game so far this season, with Miller only totaling 131 yards on 30 touches.
With most people in the midst of the fantasy football playoffs this week, Miller is an intriguing waiver wire pickup ahead of Week 16. After Kamara left the game, Miller took over the starting berth and averaged over five yards per carry, giving fantasy football managers the confidence to start him this week against the Green Bay Packers.
The Packers allow 18.0 fantasy points per game to running backs, which is about league average, but in a game where the Saints (5-9) are likely to be down early to the Packers (10-4), they may ask Miller to catch more passes which is good for PPR fantasy football formats.
Miller's fantasy football value depends on Kamara's status, which is worth keeping an eye on, but Miller is an excellent fantasy football waiver wire pickup in Week 16.
