Kyler Murray stats tonight: How did Cardinals QB fare against Seahawks in Week 12?
Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals faced off against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, trying to hold onto the top spot of the NFC West with a win against their closest rival in the race to win the division. Week 12 of the 2024 NFL season presented a duel between two teams urged to win to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Murray posted interesting numbers, but they didn't translate into scores. Just like they did to the New York Jets in Week 11, the Seahawks allowed the Cardinals to only score six points while Seattle only needed 16 to secure this game.
The Cards are now 6-5 after losing to the Hawks. They rank second in the NFC West division standings.
Kyler Murray stats vs Seahawks tonight
Kyler Murray didn't have the best game against the Seahawks, even though he threw for nearly 300 yards. A summary of his stats in Week 12 of the NFL season can be seen below.
- Pass attempts: 24
- Pass completions: 37
- Passing yards: 285
- Rushing attempts: 2
- Rushing yards: 9
- TDs: 0
- INTs: 1
- Sacks: 5-36
- QB Rating: 77.0
Murray posted solid numbers, but the Cardinals' offense never found a way to find the end zone. His sole interception was a 69-yard pick-6 from Coby Bryant. Without that, Arizona would have had a better chance to win the game, but they couldn't do much against a solid Seahawks defense.
The Cardinals scored three points in the second and fourth quarter, respectively, while the Seahawks scored seven in the second and confirmed their win with six and three points in the third and final period.
Kyler Murray shares frustration after losing to the Seahawks
After the Week 12 game was over, Kyler Murray talked with reporters about his disappointing performance. The quarterback was visibly upset with the result and shared his frustrations with reporters.
He said that they put themselves in a complex position and the penalties, turnovers and mistakes that led to points played a role in the final outcome.
The bright side is that the Cardinals are still in the race for the NFC West division, but going from dropping 31 points against the Jets to only scoring six against the Seahawks is something that Murray, Jonathan Gannon and Co. should fix right away.
