Malik Nabers injury update: Should Fantasy managers be concerned for Giants WR for Week 14 Fantasy Football

New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers has been everything the New York Giants thought he would be when they drafted him with the sixth overall pick in this year's draft.

Coming out of LSU, Nabers was one of the top wide receiver prospects and has played like that in the ten games he has played for the Giants this season. Nabers currently leads the team in receptions (75) and receiving yards (740) despite missing two games this season.

Nabers has recorded two games where he has had over 100+ receiving yards, recorded a multi-touchdown game, and has had two games where he has had at least 10+ catches.

This weekend, Nabers will get another chance to showcase his skills against the New Orleans Saints. That is if he plays.

Nabers has a serious chance of not playing in Sunday's game against the Saints. Nabers will not be present in the team's Friday practice, with his status for Sunday up in the air.

According to multiple reports, Nabers has a hip flexor that he suffered in the team's Thursday practice. The injury was severe enough to keep him out of today's practice.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz Tweeted:

"#Giants WR Malik Nabers has a hip flexor injury that happened in practice yesterday and he had to get an MRI. He will not practice today. A final determination on his game status will be made later today."

Nabers has missed two games this season due to a concussion. Nabers has also dealt with a groin issue throughout the season, but it has not kept him out of any games.

Yes, the Giants have been eliminated from this year's playoffs. In fact, New York became the first team eliminated from the playoffs this season.

After the Giants' Thanksgiving Day loss to their rival, the Dallas Cowboys, they fell to 2-10 on the season and were officially eliminated from playoff contention.

The Giants have been closer to the No. 1 overall pick than a playoff berth all season. In a struggling year where they released their starting quarterback mid-season, it seems as if nobody's job is safe in New York.

It will be interesting to see the changes they make this offseason.
