“Man that would have been ridiculous!” – Mojo Rawley blames Tom Brady for costing him WWE title after QB sealed Rob Gronkowski’s Buccaneers return

WWE star Mojo Rawley revealed this week that he would have faced now-retired NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski if he hadn't decided to return to football.

In a recent interview with Steve Fall, Rawley said that the WWE was planning on having Rawley face Gronk at the SummerSlam. The event was scheduled to take place in Boston and would have been a thrill for fans in the area to see their Super Bowl winning tight end.

Rawley said that after the match, there would have been another one in Saudi Arabia.

"The plan was to do a tag match with me and him at SummerSlam because it was in Boston that year. Man, that would have been ridiculous!"

But all of those plans would soon go out the window. Quarterback Tom Brady then decided to sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Gronkowski decided to join him. Gronk came out of retirement and left his budding WWE career and FOX analyst job to get back to the football field.

Rawley said that it was an obvious no-brainer for Gronkowski to return to football and make $10 million.

"Rob had, I believe, $10 million or more on the table to go back for one season left on his contract, and it was a no-brainer."

Gronk and Brady would then go on to add another Suber Bowl ring to their collection, making it the best choice for the tight end.

Now that he has retired from the NFL again, there hasn't been any word on whether Gronk will return to the ring and pursue another chance at a WWE belt.

Rob Gronkowski reveals two things he always wanted to do while playing in the NFL

Tight end Rob Gronkwoski made his touchdown celebration famous. The "Gronk Spike" was well-known as he and the Patriots created a dynasty in the 2010's.

Now that he has retired from the National Football League for the second time, he has revealed two things he never got to do while playing in the NFL: kick a field goal and throw a touchdown pass. He talked about this back in January while on Fox News.

"I definitely always wanted to throw a touchdown pass, no doubt about that. That would be legendary. That would be really cool, but one thing that I would really actually love to try more than that, hands down, is just kick an extra point, kick a field goal.
"I think that’s harder than even throwing a touchdown pass. But kick a field goal – that would be fun, it’d be entertaining. And no matter how bad or how good I do, I feel like it would be well worth it."

TMZ Sports captured a video from this past weekend of Gronk accomplishing the field goal. While he was attending a Pop Warner game at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, Gronkowski attempted field goals and made his last attempt.

While it wasn't in an NFL game, it appears that Gronkowski has checked one accomplishment off of his football list. E

But, would he ever come out of retirement for a second time?
