Message from Planet Krypton: Yup, Josh Allen is Superman
Josh Allen has made plays in his NFL career that only superheroes can make on the football field. Case in point, the Buffalo Bills star threw a surreal touchdown pass to running back James Cook as time expired in the first half. In the Bills Week 15 matchup versus the Miami Dolphins, Allen rolled out of the pocket while throwing on the run to find Cook in the end zone.
What's more, he can do it with his legs as he had a huge run of 44 yards in the fourth quarter versus the Dolphins. That drive ended with another touchdown pass, this time to tight end Dawson Knox. The Bills went for two, and Allen took it upon himself to run for a two-point conversion. The MVP candidate had a total of four touchdowns with 300 yards passing in the Bills' 32 - 29 win over the Dolphins.
Derek Carr and the Raiders are slight favorites over Mac Jones and the Patriots.
The game marked the sixth time this season with over 300 yards passing and his third game with four touchdowns. Allen has also rushed for, at least, 70 yards five times this season.
All things considered, the former Wyoming quarterback proved, once again, that not all heroes wear capes. They wear the number 17 jersey for the Buffalo Bills.
What is Josh Allen's kryptonite?
Early on in his career, Allen struggled to complete passes as his completion percentage was below 60 percent in his first two seasons. He had a completion percentage of 52.8 in his rookie season and followed it up with a 58.8 completion percentage in his sophomore season.
In the 2020 - 2021 season, the star quarterback put it all together, completing 69.2 of his passes, which was the fourth-highest that season. So far this season, he has completed over 60 percent of his throws. Unlike Superman, Josh Allen has found a way to do away with kryptonite. It's hard to find flaws in his game.
He's shown that he's human with his five fumbles and 11 interceptions, but he makes up for it with his talent. Now that the Bills have clinched a spot in this season's playoffs, Josh Allen has a chance to make history. He could be the first quarterback to lead the Bills to a Super Bowl victory. If there's any player capable of winning it all this season, it's Superman under center.
