The Dallas Cowboys drafted him with the 12th overall pick in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft. He played college football at Penn State. This is where he was; a consensus All-American, the Butkus–Fitzgerald Linebacker of the Year, and the Cotton Bowl Defensive MVP. The Cowboys chose him in the first round of the 2021 draft.
