Minnesota Vikings vs Chicago Bears box score, match player stats and summary feat. Sam Darnold
The Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears met in Week 12 of the 2024 NFL season. The NFC North has been considered the toughest division in football during the year, with all teams in the fight for the playoffs, but the Vikings and the Lions started to run away with their respective records.
For Minnesota, losing the game was not an option. Even as they were facing a division rival away from home, they still could not allow the Detroit Lions to extend their NFC North advantage further. For Chicago, this was probably the last chance to still mount a run at the NFC Wild Card.
The game was dominated by the visitors until late in the fourth quarter, when the Bears kicked a field goal, recovered the onside kick and scored another touchdown to tie the game. However, the Vikings were still able to close out the game in overtime.

Quarterback
Although the Vikings had many more problems closing out the game than expected, quarterback Sam Darnold had a solid showing, completing over 64% of his throws and with no interceptions. After a few shaky performances, he was back to his best on Sunday.
Rushing and receiving
Aaron Jones' exhibition was fantastic, crossing the 100-yard mark and scoring a touchdown. However, it's interesting to notice that Justin Jefferson had a quiet game, with just two catches and 27 receiving yards. On the other hand, Jordan Addison dominated and put stellar numbers.

Quarterback
Caleb Williams continues to show signs of improvement under Thomas Brown's leadership. The offensive coordinator change has done wonders for the quarterback, and he had a strong Sunday, with over 300 passing yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.
Rushing and receiving
The running game was a big problem for Chicago. Caleb Williams had some good scrambles, but the running backs averaged under 3.0 yards per carry in 16 rushes. This was a big difference for Minnesota, who controlled the line of scrimmage, especially with Jones running. DJ Moore was Williams' best friend.
