"Fan of most racist owner in whole league" – When Jerry Jones was accused of racism by Charlamagne Tha God
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been in hot water over allegations stemming from a photograph showing him in a crowd in Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1957 resisting desegregation. However, many had their doubts even before the photo surfaced about his true feelings toward other races.
Speaking to TMZ Sports in October 2018, radio host Charlamagne Tha God blasted the owner of the team, calling him racist and attacking one of the biggest mid-season moves he's made in recent years. Here's how he put it:
"I'm a fan of the most racist owner in the whole league. I did see that [he brought the whole team to the African-American Museum in Washington]. It's all posturing. That's all that is. It's just a way to appease his Black players. [Trading for Amari Cooper was] stupid... I think Jerry Jones suffers from some form of mental illness."

Of course, while trading for Amari Cooper arguably did lead to a boost for the offense, it didn't break the team out of their rut of playoff losses that's continued till today. Since the 1990s, the Cowboys have failed to go further than the divisional round.
This is despite 10 seasons in which the team has won at least 10 games. Each season, the Cowboys have either won a playoff game and then lost or lost their first playoff game. Last season, they earned some form of consolation when Dak Prescott blew out Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It was the Cowboys' first road playoff win since the 1990s. Fans of the team are hoping that the win opens the door for the Cowboys, and Prescott, to overcome their mental roadblock. If it doesn't, Prescott's time in Dallas might come to and end.

Put simply, pundits were unimpressed with the quarterback's production in key moments last season. He missed five games with a thumb injury where, in his absence, backup Cooper Rush brought about as many wins as many believed Prescott would have.
When he returned to the lineup, his interception total was the highest of his career despite playing the second fewest games of his career. Will the quarterback rebound in 2023 as a contender for Comeback Player of the Year? Only time will tell.
