New England Patriots injury report: Latest on Kyle Dugger, Christian Elliss, Vederian Lowe, and more for Week 10

The New England Patriots' Week 10 schedule is a visit to Soldier Field on Sunday against the Chicago Bears and No. 1 draft pick Caleb Williams. The game will pit Williams against Drake Maye, who was selected with the third pick by the Pats in the 2024 NFL draft.

Maye has started four games for the Patriots this season, but they have only won once when Jacoby Brissett replaced the rookie quarterback after he suffered a concussion in Week 8 against the New York Jets.

Let's see below how Drake Maye and his teammates are faring injury-wise ahead of the game against the Bears.

A look at the Patriots' final injury report

The New England Patriots have ruled out safety Kyle Dugger (ankle) and linebacker Christian Elliss (abdomen) for their Week 10 game against the Chicago Bears.

Seven more players are questionable to play at Soldier Field, according to the Patriots’ final injury report. OL Mike Jordan (ankle), CB Alex Austin, DT Daniel Ekuale (abdomen) and G Layden Robinson (ankle) all participated fully in Friday's practice but were all labeled as questionable to play.

Three other New England players who have been deemed questionable to play on Sunday are DT Vederian Lowe (shoulder), S Marte Mapu (neck) and DT Jaquelin Roy (neck).

Kyle Dugger injury update

Kyle Dugger will be unavailable for the New England Patriots for the third consecutive game in Week 10, as he is yet to fully recover from the ankle injury he suffered against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London in October.

During a news conference this week, coach Jerod Mayo provided an encouraging report on Dugger, stating that the safety is still anticipated to play this season.

“He’s still dealing with the ankle, and as you know, all injuries don’t heal the same way,” Mayo said. “He’s still dealing with those things, and we’ll see how it goes.”

Christian Elliss injury update

New England Patriots linebacker Christian Elliss, who was DNP in all the practices the team held throughout the week with an abdomen injury, has been ruled out for the road game against the Bears.

With LB Ja’Whaun Bentley already placed on injured reserve, Elliss' injury comes as a big blow for the Pats. This season, he has three quarterback hits, 37 tackles and 1.4 sacks.

The Patriots will probably push Sione Takitaki and Raekwon McMillan up the depth chart in Ellis' absence this week.

Vederian Lowe injury update

Vederian Lowe was a limited participant in each of the New England Patriots' three sessions held during the week.

He has been officially designated as questionable to play against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. It appears Lowe will ultimately be a game-time decision.
