3x Super Bowl champ Mark Schlereth punches down on "selfish, unaware" $52,500,000 Browns WR

There's clearly no love lost between Denver Broncos legend Mark Schlereth and former Bronco Jerry Jeudy, who now plays for the Cleveland Browns. During Jeudy's time in the Mile High City, Schlereth often criticized Jeudy's lack of production.

When he was finally traded to the Cleveland Browns in March, Schlereth bid good riddance to the WR as Denver recouped two late-round picks in the trade.

On Monday Night Football, Jeudy went up against the Broncos. In what served as a revenge game, he hauled in nine catches for 235 yards, breaking Terrell Owens' 16-year record for most receiving yards against a former team.

The Browns, though, ended up losing, 41-32, due to Jameis Winston's third INT of the night, but Jeudy drew attention to his stats after the game, something that didn't sit well with Schlereth.

"Celebrating your stats on Instagram in a game your team just lost is about the most selfish, unaware wide receiver thing I've ever seen and why they moved on!," three-time Super Bowl champion Schlereth tweeted.

After being traded to Cleveland in March, the franchise handed Jeudy a three-year, $52.5 million contract extension, tying his future with the Browns for the foreseeable future.

While Jeudy ended up making NFL history on Monday night, he also paid attention to how many boos he received during Cleveland's 41-32 shootout.

In a post-game interview with reporters, Jeudy said:

"I heard it. That was a lot of boos, huh? That was a lot of catches, too."

Jeudy's numbers meant even two-time All-Pro Steve Smith Sr., who has been a vocal critic of the WR, had to swallow his words.

“A whole lot of humble pie for a guy like Agent 89, Steve Smith Sr.,” Smith said on his podcast.
“Fantastic performance. He was ballin’. He lived up to everything you expected him to do. This wasn’t a revenge game, this was a look-at-me game. Congratulations Jerry Jeudy, you did a heck of a job."

However, Jeudy wasn't the only one who made history on the night, as Winston threw for 497 yards, setting a single-game franchise record. Overall, Winston had four touchdowns and three INTs, two of which were pick-sixes.
