49ers' Ricky Pearsall shot at during robbery attempt: Report
Ricky Pearsall was shaping up to be a contributor off the bench for the San Francisco 49ers. But just over a week before his supposed debut, he has had a harrowing experience.
On Saturday, WGO-TV's Dion Lim reported that the rookie wide receiver had been shot in a robbery at Union Square, where he was hosting an autograph signing. The perpetrator was said to have targeted him for his Rolex watch.
He was ultimately announced to be in stable condition, while the perpetrator was eventually arrested.

As per updated reports, a 17-year-old was arrested in connection to the shooting.
The 49ers WR was walking alone at around 3:30 PM (PT) when the incident took place, the two getting into a scuffle. As per the San Francisco Police Department, both Pearsell and the suspected assailant sustained injuries.
Furthermore, the suspect is reportedly from Tracy, California, and was arrested while trying to flee.
“Gunfire from the suspect’s gun struck both Mr. Pearsall and the subject,” San Francisco Police Chief William Scott said during a press conference.
That being said, charges will be filed in juvenile court.
Though the police believe suspect robbery is the motive, they are yet to confirm the same.
