In an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle on Monday, 49ers tackle Trent Williams opened up about the team's emotional support for the cornerback. Williams explained how his teammates reached out to Ward following the daughter's death. Talking about the same, Williams said:
“We all reached out to him. More than anything, we wanted to give him his privacy to deal with things that a lot of us can’t even fathom. Much love. Much prayers. Much respect to him, as always. We all tapped in with him, but we’re all respecting his privacy. Letting him and his family get through a trying time.”
Charvarius Ward shared heartbreaking post revealing daughter's death
On Monday, Charvarius Ward lost his one-year-old daughter Amani. Ward shared the heartbreaking news with an Instagram post on Tuesday, attached with an adorable picture of his late daughter. Breaking the news to the fans, the cornerback wrote:
“We are heartbroken that our beautiful baby girl, Amani Joy passed away on Monday morning. She was the best blessing we could have asked for, and her joyous spirit made us smile from ear to ear. She taught us to have patience, trust, and a positive outlook on life,"
"She showed us true strength and bravery. She overcame adversity at a young age and was always happy, lighting up every room with her smile. Having the privilege of being her parents and seeing the world through her eyes has changed us for the better. She will forever be daddy’s best friend and mommy’s little girl. We’ll miss you and love you forever, Amani Joy," Ward concluded.
Amani Joi Ward's cause of death remains unknown. We do know that Charvarius Ward's daughter had bypass surgery in April last year and had been battling with major heart issues since her birth.
The one-year-old's death has left a huge emotional impact on the NFL world. After Ward broke the heartbreaking news, many NFL celebrities, including JP Mason's wife, came forward to share her prayers for the cornerback and his family.
