“A lot of people are jealous of him”: Donald Trump on criticism of Tom Brady’s start to $375,000,000 broadcasting career
Tom Brady has started his second stint in the NFL world. After an impressive 20-year career as a quarterback, he has now dipped his toes in broadcasting. Although the seven-time Super Bowl winner has faced some criticism, he has former President Donald Trump in his corner.
On Sunday, Brady called the fourth game of his broadcasting career from his old hunting ground, Raymon James Stadium in Tampa Bay. On Sunday, Donald Trump also attended a football game where Georgia faced Alabama. During the game at Alabama, Trump was interviewed by "Outkick" and was asked about Brady’s performance in his new $375 million role with Fox Sports.
“I think he’s done really well and I think he’s going to do well”, said Trump. “He’s a winner and he’s a champion. There’s a lot of people that are jealous of him so they’re always going to be as negative as they can but I think he’s doing fantastically well.”
Tom Brady and Donald Trump have been friends for a long time. It was recently reported that Trump wanted Brady to marry his daughter. However, that did not come to fruition, Trump disliked Brady’s ex-wife Giselle Bundchen.
Will Tom Brady call the Patriots’ Week 5 game?
For the Week 4 schedule, Tom Brady was sent back to his former team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Many were expecting he would be back with his other former team the New England Patriots for the Week 4 games. However, ESPN’s Mike Reiss reported that Brady will not be at Foxborough in Week 4.
“Barring an unexpected change in the coming days, Tom Brady isn't scheduled to work the Patriots' Week 5 home game against the Dolphins, which will be broadcast on Fox. A source familiar with his schedule expects he will call the Cardinals-49ers game,” Reiss wrote.
The Patriots will host the Miami Dolphins in the Week 5 game. As of now, Fox Sports has not released the broadcast schedule for the next week's games. However, reports suggest that Brady’s reunion with the Patriots might have to wait a bit longer.
