Aaron Rodgers breaks silence on Ian O'Connor's biography as excerpts on Olivia Munn, family feud go viral

Aaron Rodgers has been in the news for one reason or another every week. This time, the four-time NFL MVP has been in the headlines over some excerpts from New York Times bestselling author Ian O'Connor's biography 'Out of the Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers.'

A few publications, including the New York Post, got their hands on some meaty excerpts from O'Connor's new book. One of them involves Rodgers' feud with his family and certain stories about his relationship with Hollywood actress Olivia Munn.

On Tuesday, Aug. 13, Rodgers appeared on WFAN and was asked for his thoughts on 'Out of the Darkness.' Rodgers said:

“He did a lot of research. It had nothing to do with me but he did a lot of research on his own. He’s done a lot of books with other famous people in sports. I think he reached out to 500 people and talked to maybe half those people.
"At the end, although he’d written the first draft, we had a conversation and sat down. It was just him asking a few things. A lot of the stuff in there is 20+ years old."

Aaron Rodgers disputes kernels of truth in new biography

The New York Jets quarterback said that he did not ask O'Connor to write a book on him, adding that some stories might be exaggerated, but he commended the writer on the effort it took to do all the research.

"It’s a book he wrote on his own," Rodgers said. "There will be some interesting things in there that are perspective based. There will be for sure some stuff in there that will be true.
“There’s other stories in there that I’m sure are true. There’s stories that are maybe exaggerated over time. There’s stories that are perspective-ly true to people."

Last week, one excerpt from the book went viral. It delved into Rodgers' relationship with his family while he was dating Olivia Munn.

Per the Daily Mail, the report said Rodgers' mother, a devout Catholic, was "mortified" after finding out that her son and Munn were publicly talking about their sex life in interviews.

"Darla did not appreciate how Munn joked about oral sex in an interview or how she publicly talked about her sex life with Aaron just before that loss at Buffalo," the excerpt read.

However, a report from People added that Rodgers told O'Connor that Munn was not to blame for his strained relationship with his family.
