Aaron Rodgers doles out advice for Joe Burrow, Travis Kelce after break-in at $275,000,000 QB’s home
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers advised Joe Burrow and Travis Kelce after their homes were broken into. While the Cincinnati Bengals were playing the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football, Burrow, who's in the second year of his five-year $275 million deal, had his house broken into.
Burrow isn't the only NFL player to have their house broken into, as back in October Travis Kelce's house was targeted as well. Following the recent break-ins, Rodgers advised Burrow and Kelce to have full-time security at their houses.
"It’s an interesting situation that happened in Cincinnati," Rodgers said. "Mostly around the call. I think something happened in Kansas City out there. I got security, full-time, thanks to Daily Mail putting my s—t out there. In Wisconsin, everybody’s got guns so it’s a little less likely.
“There’s been some issues that we all think about. You’re kind of exposed in that way. It seems like there’s a professional aspect to it where they don’t care if there’s cameras on or alarms set where they get in and get out quickly. Hopefully it doesn’t happen anymore," Rodgers added.
Rodgers also believes the NFL does have some security resources that players should look at. He says the NFL will have security experts come to your house and help you put up cameras and tell you how to keep your house safe.
"I will say this. The league has a really good resource for this. They have security experts come up to your house and give you ideas about where to put the cameras, where the weak spots are," Rodgers said.
"I think guys in the league don’t use it because they don’t have the time or they’re thinking about other things or they’re busy playing video games. There’s a lot of great resources the league puts together I think most guys should look at.”
Rodgers has gone 289-for-458 for 2,966 yards, 20 touchdowns and eight interceptions. However, the Jets have struggled this season (3-10).
Joe Burrow feels privacy was violated
Following the news that Joe Burrow's house was broken into, it was revealed that model Olivia Ponton was at his house and called the burglary to the police.
After the news went viral, Burrow commented on the break-in at a press conference and said his privacy had been violated.
"I feel like my privacy has been violated in more ways than one," Burrow said, via NFL.com. "Way more is out there than I would want out there and that I care to share. So that's all I've got to say about that."
Burrow has gone 335-for-490 for 3,706 yards, 33 touchdowns and six interceptions this season.
