Aaron Rodgers handed fresh boost for Titans showdown with star WR set to be activated from IR
Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are set to face the Tennessee Titans in a big game on Thursday. After their win over the Dallas Cowboys, the Packers kept their playoff hopes alive. They will need another win here against a strong Titans team.
The Packers are set to receive a massive boost for their game against the Titans, as wide receiver Randall Cobb is expected to play in this game. Cobb hasn't played since Week 6, and his inclusion will make things easier for Rodgers.
Speaking about Randall Cobb's availability against the Titans, Tom Pelissero said this omn NFL Network:
"I am told Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb is expected to play tonight against the Titans for the first time since he suffered that high ankle sprain back in Week 6."
Pelissero continued:
"Last time we saw Cobb on the field, he was getting carted off he was in tears fearing the worst instead, he is back to help out Aaron Rodgers for a big game tonight."
So far this season, Cobb has 18 catches for 257 yards in six games this season. With Romeo Doubbs still out, Cobb will hope to step up alongside Christian Watson and Allen Lazard.
Last week, Aaron Rodgers had an exceptional game as he found Watson for three touchdowns against a solid Cowboys defense. The Green Bay Packers quarterback would love to repeat the same against the Tennessee Titans in primetime football.
Aaron Rodgers needs to put on a show against the Tennessee Titans in Week 11
The Tennessee Titans have a pretty good defense and were nearly able to squeak out a win against the Kansas City Chiefs, even without Ryan Tannehill. Last week, the Titans defeated the Broncos, and this game won't be easy for Rodgers and the Packers.
However, with what we saw last week against the Cowboys, Packers fans will be quite optimistic about this fixture. Rodgers needs to continue in this form and the Packers' defense will have to contain Derrick Henry if they are to win.
As of now, the Packers are favored by -3.0 points. It will be interesting to see if Randall Cobb and Aaron Rodgers can lead the Packers to their fifth win of the season.
