Aaron Rodgers hints at Packers exit after startling revelation
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been the subject of trade rumors this offseason. Reports suggest that the Packers are trying to trade the four-time MVP to another team.
Rodgers has previously hinted that he would welcome a fresh start elsewhere. He will likely get his wish this offseason.
Rodgers spoke about the rumors during an interview with CBS reporter Amanda Balionis at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tournament. He said that a lot of fans at the event have suggested trade destinations for him:
"It's fun to be here. It's a great event, the fans are amazing. A lot of people are yelling different teams they want me to come to next year which has been fun. ...We got a little inside bet on which team's gonna the most fan but it's been fun."
When asked by Balionis if he had a preferred destination, Rodgers said:
"I'm just gonna say the predominant team that we hear as we're walking is the Raiders. A lot of Raiders fans are encouraging me. A lot of 'Davante misses you' comments. So we're having some fun with it. It's a great event for the fans to come out here. Hopefully we can get back on the course."
Aaron Rodgers wants Davante Adams to buy him a house in Las Vegas
Last offseason, the Packers traded away Davante Adams. He was Rodgers' favorite target and the best receiver he's ever had as a teammate. Adams was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders in exchange for a first and second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
During the Pebble Beach gold event, a fan had a hilarious interaction with Aaron Rodgers about Davante Adams.
The fan said:
"Hey Aaron, I heard Davante is looking for a neighbor, bro."
Rodgers responded:
"Tell him to buy me a house with all that money."
Adams signed a five-year, $141.25 million deal with the Raiders after he was acquired by them in March 2022. He would certainly love it if Rodgers became his teammate again. The Raiders are looking to replace his close friend, Derek Carr, at the quarterback position.
Davante Adams has 622 receptions for 7590 yards and 69 touchdowns in 108 career games with Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers has spent his entire career with the Packers organization. He holds the NFL record for single-season passer rating and consecutive passes without an interception.
