Aaron Rodgers reflects back on broken ties with brother Jordan

Aaron Rodgers has a cold bond with his family. While the New York Jets star has kept this personal life behind the curtains for years, he recently opened up about it in his latest documentary. Netflix released the quarterback’s docu-series called "Aaron Rodgers: Enigma" on Tuesday.

In the second episode of the documentary, Aaron Rodgers reflected on his broken ties with brother Jordan. The quarterback highlighted how his relationship with his brother went 'distant' from being ‘super close.’ Sharing details into the same, the quarterback said:

"It wasn’t like I was super duper close with everybody in the family. I was close with my little brother. But in actuality, it goes back to stuff from high school that kind of made me feel distant. Stuff in college, stuff post-college. I thought the best way to do it was just don’t talk about it publicly."

Moving forward, Aaron Rodgers also talked about the popular episode of “The Bachelorette,” which included a family dinner scene, in which the Jets quarterback and then-girlfriend Olivia Munn were excluded. Recalling his reaction, Rodgers said:

"And what do they do? They go on a bulls–t show and leave two empty chairs. [Jordan] comes from such an amazing family with so much love and so much character — but sitting down at that table, there are two empty seats and I know that they probably wish Aaron was sitting in one of them."

Aaron Rodgers opened up about concluding years-old family drama

Aaron Rodgers' controversial family drama has been in the spotlight for over a decade. While fans think that the family drama is a permanent part of the quarterback's life, that's not what Rodgers feels. If anything, he's more than happy to leave all the bad faith behind and go back to square one with his family.

Aaron Rodgers talked about being open to reconciling with his family during the second episode of his Netflix documentary. Making a statement, Rodgers said:

"People ask me, ‘Is there hope for reconciliation?’ I say, ‘Yeah of course. Of course.' I don’t want them to fail, to struggle, to have any strife or issues. I don’t wish any ill will on them at all. It’s more like this — we’re just different steps on a timeline of our own journeys."

Apart from talking about his family drama, Aaron Rodgers also reflected on his previous relationships. The Jets star claimed to be "hating" the unwanted media attention on his romantic relationships.
