Aaron Rodgers to speak at psychedelic conference? Packers QB makes huge announcement ahead of potential move to Jets

The world awaits Aaron Rodgers' sensational trade to the New York Jets. After spending 15 years at Green Bay, Rodgers will be on the move this off-season and it looks like the Jets are inching closer and closer to getting the deal done. But for now, the Packers QB has different plans in mind.

The Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies’ “Psychedelic Conference 2023” is all set to take place in Denver in June 2023. The Packers' star quarterback will be one of the guest speakers for this mega event. According to the program’s website, there will be workshops and community-building activities, and it will “offer an opportunity to dive into the world of psychedelic science.” The Psychedelic Conference is expected to attract a crowd of 10,000 people in Denver.

Aaron Rodgers has many times in the past reiterated his passion for psychedelics and ayahuasca. During his appearance on the “Aubrey Marcus Podcast” in 2022, Aaron Rodgers credited his back-to-back MVP seasons in 2020 and 2021, to ayahuasca. He further stated that his mental health has seen significant improvement due to ayahuasca, which has in turn helped him have the best season of his career.

Aaron Rodgers recently went into darkness retreat to meditate, introspect, and decide on his future in the NFL. After four-days of isolation, the Packers quarterback appeared on the “Aubrey Marcus Podcast” and talked about his playing career. He mentioned that he will make his decision soon enough.

"It's best for anybody who has an interest in this to make a decision sooner rather than later. I remember before Favre retired, there were times in April and May, we weren't sure if he was going to come back because he didn't come to any of the offseason program. Then in 2008, he actually did retire in March and then said, 'No, no, no,' in June after OTAs, I actually want to come back and play. That's when he was traded to the Jets. There was obviously a lot of tension that summer.”

Aaron Rodgers expected to join New York Jets

Aaron Rodgers was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft as the 24th overall pick. Since then, he has established himself as one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game of football. But now, the Packers are ready to move past the Super Bowl XLV champ.

The frontrunner to land the four-time MVP is the New York Jets. The Jets have been looking for a franchise quarterback for the past 20 years and haven’t had any luck finding one, even with the likes of Brett Favre, Sam Darnold and Zach Wilson. With Rodgers available on the market, they are looking to capitalize on this opportunity.

There is growing optimism around the league that Aaron Rodgers' move to the Jets is a done deal. This comes after owner Woody Johnson and crew flew to California to meet with the Packers quarterback in-person and sell him on coming to the "Big Apple."

Landing Aaron Rodgers will be a franchise altering move for the Jets. They haven’t made a Super Bowl appearance in over 54 years, since winning it in 1969. With a quarterback of Rodgers' caliber on the current roster, the Jets would definitely make a deep run in the playoffs.

What will a potential trade package look like?

It's been reported that the Packers will look to get at least two first-round picks from the Jets in exchange for the quarterback. A potential trade package would be where the New York Jets receive Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers get a 2023 first-round pick, a 2024 first-round pick, and a 2024 fourth-round pick from the Jets.
