Adam Thielen's wife Caitlin not a fan of Kamala Harris picking Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate - "Bad bad news"
Adam Thielen is not the most prolific wide receiver in Minnesota Vikings history, but as someone born, raised, and educated in the state, he is a cult favorite among its local fans.
Throughout the final four years of his tenure in Minnesota, Tim Walz was the governor. On Tuesday, Vice President Kamala Harris named Walz her vice presidential running mate in the upcoming elections.
One person, however, was not happy: Adam Thielen's wife Caitlin. Taking to her X.com account, she said:
"Oh man.. bad bad news. He has run Minneapolis into the ground"
Prior to becoming governor in 2019, Walz was a congressman representing the 1st district of Minnesota from 2007 to 2019.
Before embarking on a political career, Walz was a teacher as well as a US Army veteran who fought in the Korean War. He served in the military from 1981 to 2005.
Who is Adam Thielen's wife, Caitlin?
Caitlin Graboski was born on Sept. 21, 1991, in Appleton, Minnesota. She first saw Adam Thielen in high school; they both attended Detroit Lakes High School.
They both enrolled at Division II Minnesota State, where she played soccer as a midfielder. Caitlin soon transferred to Iowa State, graduating with a degree in speech pathology and communications disorders.
The two eventually married in 2015. They have three children (two sons and a daughter), born in 2016, 2019, and 2021. Outside of parenting and motherhood, Caitlin runs a blog called "Life with Mrs. T."
The two are also active philanthropists, heading their namesake foundation. This January, they helped to inaugurate Red Lake High School's new weight room, for which they had provided a $75,000 grant.
When Thielen was shockingly released by the Vikings in 2023 after a decade with the team, Caitlin expressed her disappointment on Instagram:
"If you don't give someone a chance and opportunities how do you prove your worth! Someone comes in with an opinion about you and you can't even prove them wrong !!!"
But eventually, the couple found a new home in Charlotte after Thielen joined the Carolina Panthers. Speaking to Charlotte Parent in April, Caitlin said:
"Our move to Charlotte has been overall very good. It was definitely a big adjustment because my husband and I are both from Minnesota and have never lived anywhere else. It’s hard to find community when you are new, but everyone’s been very welcoming.
"We love trying out new parks so if it’s a nice day we’d probably go to a couple parks... We’d probably try out a smoothie shop or grab lunch together."
Adam Thielen and the Panthers begin their preseason at the New England Patriots this Thursday.
