"Always with a smile": Braxton Berrios' girlfriend Alix Earle grows emotional as Dolphins WR wraps up successful surgery

Braxton Berrios suffered a season-ending knee injury earlier this month. The Miami Dolphins WR's campaign was cut short as he required surgery before beginning the rehab process.

Of course, a serious injury is never easy for an athlete to deal with. But despite the severity of his situation, Berrios still had a smile on his face.

Berrios' girlfriend, Alix Earle, was with him as he wrapped up his surgery.

Earle filmed him while he exited the room, with Berrios smiling into the camera as they carted him away. In another snap, Earle shared a photo of them holding each other's hand.

"Here's to a successful surgery & now onto recovery! And always with a smile on his face," Earle wrote on her IG story.

Earle also sent out a long message to Berrios after his injury. The TikTok influencer was upset for the WR, wishing him the best in his recovery.

"It's crazy how things can change in a matter of seconds...especially seeing how much hard work you put into the game not physically but mentally. Day in and day out you inspire me and I have no doubt that you will be back and better in no time. Proud to be by your side and cheer you on. I love you," Earle wrote.

Braxton Berrios was heartbroken over his season-ending injury

While Alix Earle penned down an emotional note, Berrios shared his point of view on Instagram after his injury.

Berrios revealed that he was 'absolutely heartbroken', especially since he has months to recover and not weeks or days. However, he is confident since he has been here before.

Admitting that he saw himself as a victim before, Braxton Berrios decided to accept the road in front of him.

"Well like Kobe once said, ‘If you see me in a fight with a bear, pray for the bear,’" the Dolphins WR added.

Currently 2-5 on the season, the Dolphins will face the Buffalo Bills on November 3. They lost their first game without Berrios last week against the Arizona Cardinals, 28-27.
