Amid divorce from Gisele Bundchen, Tom Brady decides to spend weekend with kids
Tom Brady has had a rough week. He and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost their third straight game on Thursday night with a 27-22 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The next morning, the quarterback announced that he and Bundchen had filed for divorce. He said at the time that although it was a difficult decision and a tough time for their family, that they will continue to put their children first.
It appears that is how he will be spending his weekend off. As reported by People Magazine, their children Benjamin and Vivian will be spending the weekend with the quarterback. An anonymous source said that Brady is always happiest when he is with his children and that the family is getting used to their new dynamic.
"He is always happy when he is with his kids. The kids have slowly been getting used to spending separate time with Tom and Gisele. They lived separately for months."
Brady was seen with his children at a local movie theater on Friday night. He will continue to spend the weekend with the kids while also practicing with the Buccaneers as they prepare for next week's matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.
Could QB Tom Brady return in 2023?
This is the final year of Tom Brady's contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 45 year old, who already had a brief retirement stint last offseason, could retire after the season. But his recent comments that retirement wasn't in his future could indicate that he is returning next season.
Brady's divorce to Gisele Bundchen is rumored to have been about his desire to continue playing in the NFL. Would the seven-time Super Bowl winner consider yet another NFL season at the age of 46?
The way the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are currently playing with a 3-5 record is definitely not the way the future Hall of Famer wants his career to end. If the Buccaneers can't turn things around, the quarterback may decide to give it another season.
But he also already has post-NFL plans finalized with FOX Sports. He signed a ten-year deal to be the lead color commentator for FOX NFL Sunday games, a contract that will begin when he retires. The deal is said to be worth over $350 million and would make him the highest paid NFL broadcaster. It could give the quarterback an incentive to officially retire after this season and not put his body through another grueling campaign.
