“Y’all don’t need Odell Beckham Jr.” – NFL analyst claims Cowboys will be just fine without OBJ as Jerry Jones and co push for star WR

The Dallas Cowboys have continued to publicly show interest in Odell Beckham Jr. The Super Bowl-winning wide receiver is still a free agent and the Cowboys are seen as the favorites to land him.

From quarterback Dak Prescott to owner Jerry Jones, everyone in Dallas has urged OBJ to sign with them. They think that OBJ is the man that can get them over the top and help them win a Super Bowl.

However, former NFL player and current analyst Emanuel Acho doesn't believe the Cowboys need Odell Beckham Jr. Here's what he said on Speak:

"Y'all don't need Odell as much as you desperately think you do. Why? Because since Dak has been back the Dallas Cowboys offense is literally firing on all cylinders. Think about it scoring offense first in the league, total offense second, third down offense..."

Acho added:

"So, Cowboys if y'all are this good without Odell Beckham on offense, why do you think you so desperately need him? Okay, you need him to be playoff teams. Do you?"

He continued:

"You put up 40 points in Minnesota, you beat the Giants a playoff team putting up 28 points in that game... Cowboys do not desperately need Odell Beckham like they are acting on social media and in reality, the Cowboys have enough talent on the roster to win the Super Bowl without him..."

Odell Beckham Jr. is expected to visit the Dallas Cowboys in the coming weeks and by the time of the playoffs, we'll see him on a new team. Last season, OBJ made a big impact on the Los Angeles Rams and helped them win a Super Bowl. The Cowboys are hoping that he will do the same for them this time around.

Odell Beckham Jr. is a target for multiple teams

Along with the Dallas Cowboys, teams like the Buffalo Bills, New York Giants, and Kansas City Chiefs have a strong interest in OBJ. He does want to go to a Super Bowl contender, and this is the only reason why he could ditch the Cowboys and go sign with one of the powerhouses in the AFC.

The question is what OBJ is really after. Does he want to be paid, loved, the focal point of the offense, or does he just want to win? Each team looking at him currently can offer him different things, so it will be telling when he signs with one of them.

One executive on a team linked to Odell Beckham Jr. said this about the potential landing spot for the WR.

He added, "If you’re in Vegas, your 2-1 favorite is the Cowboys and everyone else is 5- or 6-1."

The efforts of the teams around the NFL to get Odell Beckham Jr. has been quite remarkable, and it will be interesting to see where he eventually ends up. With the NFL season in Week 13, we likely won't have long to wait before we find out.
