Andy Dalton or Matthew Stafford Week 4 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Fantasy football projections for QBs

Andy Dalton and Matthew Stafford are both coming off their biggest wins in quite some time. As such, managers who happened to win the sweepstakes for Andy Dalton have "mo' players and mo' problems." Should managers use Andy Dalton or stick with Matthew Stafford for another week?

This week's game could be won or lost based on this decision so here are some particulars for some peace of mind.

Andy Dalton is almost like going for it on fourth down. If it works out, it is a great pickup. If it fails, which seems equally likely, it's a terrible blunder. However, according to Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Optimizer, Dalton is due to earn 12.5 points so he'll most likely won't be the worst quarterback to start this week. Of course, he is also unlikely to be the best one in the league either.

Matthew Stafford came into the season with high prospects with Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua. However, both receivers are out which has hurt his value. It also doesn't help that he will face the Chicago Bears, whose defense has been their strength this season. According to Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Optimizer, Stafford is projected to earn 9.9 points against them.

Based on numbers provided by Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Optimizer, Andy Dalton gets the nod to start this week. He only has one week of production under his belt this season but it was a productive game so he is likely in line for another one. Dalton will face his former Cincinnati Bengals team and the QB who essentially replaced him: Joe Burrow.

That said, unlike many one-week wonders, Dalton could have more motivation in his second start than in his first one. Meanwhile, the LA Rams will face the Bears on the road without two of their three biggest offensive weapons. The deck is stacked in favor of Andy Dalton in Week 4.
