Antonio Brown blames Ravens WR for Lamar Jackson's endzone incompletion: "That’s Zay Flowers fault"

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson attempted a pass to wide receiver Zay Flowers with less than 10 seconds left on Thursday night. The 27-year-old quarterback missed wide receiver Flowers who was wide open in the end zone.

Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown, who isn't afraid to voice his grievances on social media, doesn't feel the incomplete pass was Jackson's fault. Brown re-shared the clip of the play and said it was Flowers' responsibility to make the play happen, not Lamar Jackson's.

"You see your QB scrambling and you that wide open you find soft spot in the endzone. That’s Zay Flowers fault #CTESPN," Antonio Brown wrote on X

That wasn't the Ravens' only attempt at a possible game-tying drive. A pass to Isaiah Likely appeared to be the touchdown Baltimore needed. However, further review showed that his right leg was out of bounds, ending the game 27-20 in Kansas City's favor.

Lamar Jackson didn't see Zay Flowers was open

While Antonio Brown believes it was wide receiver Flowers' miscue that led to the incomplete pass, Lamar Jackson said otherwise after the loss. In a postgame interview, Jackson said he was actually looking at Justice Hill and Rashod Bateman and didn't see Flowers was open until it was too late. Jackson said:

"That wasn't intended for Zay Flowers. So yeah, I was teed off about that because I'm like, 'If I would've held on to it a little bit more, I would've just fired it to Zay.'"

Lamar Jackson also told reporters that he believed Likely's play was a touchdown and he stuck with that thought even after seeing the review of the play.

The Baltimore Ravens will now have a week to get over Thursday night's loss before their home opener against the Las Vegas Raiders next Sunday.
