Antonio Brown flames Tom Brady with hilarious Brock Purdy meme after Buccaneers’ Week 14 pantsing vs 49ers
Antonio Brown continues to find ways to mock Tom Brady. His former teammate was the subject of a brutal beatdown against the San Francisco 49ers, the third-worst of his career. It's been a trying season for Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Brown has taken advantage of that.
He has often mocked his former quarterback for off-field struggles, but this time he went straight after his performance on the field. Rookie third-string quarterback Brock Purdy, who was the last pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, defeated Brady in his first ever start.
Brown posted an image to his Snapchat story with Purdy's face photoshopped onto a father and Brady's face photoshopped onto the child.
It was a humbling experience for Brady, who lost to a quarterback in their first career start for the first time in his lengthy and illustrious career.
The 49ers defense made life miserable for the quarterback, whose team could only muster seven points. Brady finished with just 253 yards and two interceptions. It was a bad day for the team and it has only gotten worse online in the aftermath.
Is Tom Brady going to retire?
The Buccaneers are 6-7 and Tom Brady doesn't look like himself. After he retired earlier this year, many are wondering if he'll walk away after a poor season on and off the field.
However, that doesn't seem to be on the cards. Many around the league don't think he is acting or talking like a player on his way out the door.
Brady's father and NFL Hall of Famer Cris Carter aren't sure he'll ever retire, which worries them. All signs point to the quarterback returning next season.
That may not be with Tampa Bay, though. There are rumors of a New England Patriots reunion as well as a homecoming with the 49ers.
With Tampa's struggles and the lack of a future there, he probably won't be on that team next year as he is a free agent this offseason. Whether he goes to New England or San Francisco remains to be seen, but he will most likely play somewhere next year.
