Antonio Brown takes aim at Tim Walz as ex-Steelers WR joins Trump at his rally - “He isn’t a real football coach"
Antonio Brown will join Le'Veon Bell on Sunday. Both former Pittsburgh Steelers players will be present at the Acrisure Stadium registering voters for Donald Trump's campaign to return to the presidency of the USA.
Trump himself will attend the Sunday Night Football game and arrangements are being made for his security. On Saturday, he hosted a rally in Pennsylvania, one of the battleground states of the 2024 election, and Brown was one of the speakers supporting the ex-president's campaign to return to the White House.
The former superstar wide receiver took the opportunity to criticize Tim Walz, the running mate of Trump's opponent Kamala Harris who's also a former football coach. Brown said that Walz, who led the Mankato West High School to a state championship, was not a real football coach:
The Steelers released a public statement where they cited former president Trump as "a guest of an individual suite holder", noting that the Secret Service and the local authorities were working with them to provide security for the fans attending the game.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will host the New York Jets during the Sunday Night Football of Week 7. Sitting at 4-2, they have made a quarterback change this week, with Russell Wilson set to start in place of Justin Fields.
Antonio Brown's career ended due to his poor behavior
Everyone knew that the wide receiver wasn't the easiest person in the world to deal with, but some teams gave him a pass due to his immense talent. The Pittsburgh Steelers, the New England Patriots and the Las Vegas Raiders learned their lessons quickly, but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers suffered more than any other team.
In 2021, Antonio Brown was initially suspended by the NFL after misrepresenting his vaccination status; after suffering a slew of minor injuries, he created the most bizarre scene of the season, taking off his jersey and his shoulder pads on the sideline before running off the field midgame in a Week 17 win against the New York Jets.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released him soon after. He never returned to play in the NFL. He bought a National Arena League franchise named the Albany Empire and there was a small expectation of him dressing up to play for them, but the franchise was removed from the league after he failed to pay taxes.
