Austin Hooper Raiders contract: How much will former Titans TE earn in 2023?

Free agent veteran tight end Austin Hooper has found a new home. The seven-year veteran, who will be entering his eighth NFL season, agreed to terms with the Las Vegas Raiders on Wednesday, March 22.

The two-time Pro Bowler inked a one-year deal with the Raiders and is expected to play a big role as they lost both Darren Waller and Foster Moreau this offseason.

Hooper will now join the fourth team of this career after playing for the Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans.

Hooper is set to earn $2.75 million and up to $3.5 million in incentives.

In seven seasons in the NFL, Hooper has made a total of $33.6 million. Hooper earned a little over $4.4 million with the Falcons in his first four years. In two seasons with the Browns, he earned a little over $23 million. Last season, he earned $6 million in his lone season with the Tennessee Titans.

Over the course of the seven seasons he's played in the NFL, Hooper has amassed 339 receptions for 3,468 yards and 25 touchdowns. This past season with the Titans, he recorded 41 catches for 444 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

He had the most productive two seasons of his career with the Atlanta Falcons in 2018 and 2019. In 2018, he recorded 71 catches for 660 yards and four touchdowns. In 2019, he recorded career-highs in catches, yards and touchdowns. He went 75-787-6 that season, making his second-straight Pro Bowl.

While he might not put up the most jaw-dropping stats, Hooper is a solid tight end who will join an offense that will be led by Jimmy Garoppolo in his first season.
