Baker Mayfield's wife Emily counters Vita Vea's bold claim about beating Olympic champion Noah Lyles

It’s Olympics season, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Vita Vea thinks he can beat champion sprinter Noah Lyles, however, Vea’s bold claims drew the attention of Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield’s wife, Emily. In the Buccaneers’ recent media interaction, Vea was asked which sport he’d play if limited to picking just one.

Not going with football, Vea went with the 100 meter and claimed that he’d beat Olympic champion Noah Lyles.

“I would’ve smoked Noah,” Vea claimed.

Resharing Emily’s reaction, Alexus responded with a laughing emoji and a crying emoji. Emily’s statement came almost a week after she visited her husband, Baker Mayfield, at Buccaneers training camp with her daughter, Kova.

Baker Mayfield recalls UFO sighting with wife Emily

Baker Mayfield appeared on the Pardon My Take podcast last month. During his time on the podcast, the Buccaneers star recalled seeing a UFO while he was enjoying a trip with his wife, Emily.

“When we’re driving home, we’re about to cross the dam between Lake Travis and Lake Austin. And we’re looking out. It’s really dark out there. The screen on the car’s real bright. Emily’s in the passenger seat, she’s looking at her phone,” Mayfield said.

“This circle-shaped object, bright as hell, literally just goes straight down. It was so bright that she looked up and saw it too. And it just completely disappeared. I put that out on Twitter. People thought I was hammered. I was just driving home, not under the influence either,” the quarterback concluded. (Timestamp - 1:30:23)

Mayfield also recalled how people didn’t believe him when he shared the story:

“But there were other people that reached out and said they saw the same thing. People thought I was crazy at that point.”

Apart from being the star quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Baker and his wife, Emily, are parents to a daughter, Kova. A few months back, Emily shared the first glimpse of her daughter on Mother's Day.
