Baker Mayfield's wife Emily makes 'shameless' appeal as Pro Bowl voting begins
Baker Maylied's wife Emily has a 'shameless' appeal to make. With the end of the regular season approaching, fans can now begin voting for their favorite players to play in the Pro Bowl.
In a new Instagram story on Wednesday, Baker Mayfield's wife Emily appealed to her fans to vote for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB.
"Shameless plug for [Baker Mayfield] to the PRO BOWL!" Emily wrote in her story caption.
With over 220,000 followers on Instagram alone, Emily Mayfield has a strong social media following. She is active on her socials and continues to share updates with her fans. Be it a plug-in for the Pro Bowl, or a special moment with her family.
Earlier this week, Emily shared an emotional post for her husband. Emily was thankful Mayfield was mindful, appreciating him for lightening her mental load.
"I am so thankful to have a husband who tries to be very aware of where he can help. He comes home from a long day and immediately tries to lighten my load - wherever he sees it. But this video is dead on with the 'mental load' parts."
The original reel was about being a solo parent and what kind of mental load it can bring on.
Baker Mayfield and his wife Emily helped turn around a local football team's fate
Baker Mayfield and his family have found a home in Tampa. Not only is Mayfield a beloved QB, but they have also connected with the community. Their non-profit - The Baker & Emily Mayfield Foundation - was recently in the news for donating $17,900 to a local Florida school.
Apparently, Mayfield's donation really helped the school. However, during a press conference last week, Mayfield tried to downplay his contribution.
"All we did was get some helmets. They did the rest. They turned it around. They believed in it. And that's what football is all about. It teaches you life lessons, how to handle adversity, how to deal with it and push forward. So yeah, congrats to them. It's pretty special," Mayfield said.
The Mayfields' donation made a marked difference on the team as they went 9-3 and are heading to the SSAA 1A State Championship for the first time.
