"I do not have words to accurately describe my heartbreak for everyone affected by Hurricane Helene. You see this stuff on TV - but until you live through it, you can't fully grasp the terror associated with the unknowns. Baker, Koko, Fergus and I evacuated yesterday and are safe," Emily added.

Connected to the Tampa community through football and also through their non-profit organization, Baker and Emily Mayfield never fail to reach out in times of crisis.

Baker Mayfield and wife Emily made $17,900 donation to Florida high school

Along with hosting events through the Baker and Emily Mayfield Foundation, the couple has also donated to schools in the area. Last month, they made a generous $17,900 donation to a local Florida school: Cocoa (Fla.) Space Coach High.

The donation was made specifically to fund new helmets and pads for the team, as well as other crucial equipment. The foundation believes that youth sports, including football, are essential for kids.

Additionally, they noted that the Florida school immediately needed new gear, and the foundation was making sure the children could play a safe game while pursuing their passion.

In an Instagram story, Emily revealed that the name 'Cocoa' reminded them of their daughter Kova, who is also called KoKo.

As the 2024 NFL season progresses, one can expect more such ventures and initiatives from the Bucs couple.
