Bengals WR Tee Higgins incensed as teammate Joe Mixon's address goes public amid crime scene investigation

Police were called to the home of Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon on Monday night after reports of shots being fired.

The home is located in Anderson Township, about two minutes south of downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. Hours later, police returned to the home and an investigation continued throughout the night with crime scene tape wrapped around the property.

During the coverage of the incident, Joe Mixon's full address was made public. This didn't sit well with his teammate, wide receiver Tee Higgins.

On Tuesday morning, Higgins took to Twitter to call out the media outlets who displayed the running back's address. Stating that it was wrong to do so as a violation of his privacy:

"Y’all dead wrong for putting bro address out publicly!"

Typically, a full address isn't made public, especially when it involves a high-profile person. The running back reportedly owns two properties in the area.

The incident comes just one month after charges of menacing against Joe Mixon were dropped. A lack of evidence against the Cincinnati Bengals running back led to them being dismissed.

What happened at Joe Mixon's house?

Shortly after 8pm on Monday night, police received a call stating shots had been fired at the home belonging to Joe Mixon. When emergency personnel arrived, they found an injured juvenile, who was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The juvenile reportedly had minor, non-life threatening injuries.

Crime scene tape was wrapped around the home and hours later additional police arrived at the scene. They were seen knocking on the front door of the home and announcing their presence shortly after midnight.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office released a statement on Tuesday. This said that they did issue a warrant at the residence from which they gathered evidence. No arrests were made at the time, but a crime scene marker was placed on the front lawn of the home.

On Tuesday morning, neighbors said that they believed that teenagers in the neighborhood were having a "NERF war" and a fight may have broken out and shots were fired as a result.

The Cincinnati Bengals running back's sister also said on Tuesday morning that her brother was not home at the time of the incident and wasn't involved.
